For once, it's not Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol in the news.

This time it's her 28-year-old son Track. He was arraigned in Alaska and entered a plea of not guilty after allegedly breaking into his parents' home and assaulting his dad Todd Palin.

The former Governor of Alaska and former Vice Presidential nominee married Todd in 1988. They have five children together: Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper, and Trig. Additionally, there are four grandchildren, with three from Bristol and one from Track.

Track was arrested and charged with domestic violence due to an incident that happened at his parents' home in Wasilla on December 16. His mom had called the police initially, after her son had allegedly broken into the house and assaulted his father, Todd, because of a disagreement over a truck.

An arraignment was held on Monday with a lawyer entering Track's plea of not guilty to burglary on his behalf while Track participated by phone instead of being in court.

No plea was entered for the other charges on Track's rap sheet that includes misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief. He was granted house arrest along with electronic monitoring and was also ordered to seek a mental health evaluation.

"Todd was the victim," said a source close to the Palin family. When the source was asked if Todd was okay, the response was, "He will be," adding, "A lot of other families have gone through worse."

Sarah Palin posted photos of Todd after the domestic violence that show bruises under his eye as well as a gash on his nose.

Todd said via telephone during that trial that the family is prepared to be in contact with Track again if he were to be released.

He is due back in court on February 26, with a pretrial conference hearing on February 9.

Two years ago, in January 2016, Track was also arrested, accused of assaulting his girlfriend, who is not the mother of his child, and pointing a gun at her. He received a plea deal and is currently on probation.
