Jackie Aina has been making fans wait for the review of Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation. Although it launched weeks ago the YouTube star didn't post her review until a couple days ago. In her latest video titled "IG Makeup Brands: Worth the Hype?!", she explains that she felt conflicted on featuring Huda Beauty's new foundation. She had heard the product is phenomenal, and agrees but still has reservations. Huda released 30 shades of foundation yet, as of October, out of nearly 300 instagram posts, only 13 featured dark skinned women. While carrying products the cater to darker complexions is great, it is half the battle. Aina believes the reasoning for the lack of women with darker skin on the account might be the colorism in the Middle East. She wants to know if Huda simply wants to collect money from darker complected people or actually promote their inherit beauty alongside lighter complected women and change the make up industry while they are at it before she signs off on promoting the brand.
