According to conservative online magazine top FBI officials have repeatedly blocked Senate investigators from their attempts to move forward with the investigations into the firing of former FBI Director James Comey, and Hillary Clinton's emails. Request have asked two senior bureau officials, Carl Ghattas and James Rybicki, to appear for a transcribed interview. On Monday Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd offered this explanation for repeatedly declining the request, Boyd wrote in a statement, " therefore, in order to protect the integrity of the Special Counsel’s investigation, as we have previously indicated, we will not be able to provide Mr. Ghattas or Mr. Rybicki for interviews at this time.”
