Viacom is cutting staff as it prepares for the launch of the new Paramount Network, along with the rebranding of TV Land in the near future. A representative at CMT, which is also owned by Viacom, said that the number of people losing their jobs is less than 20. The person also said the cuts were split evenly across Paramount, TV Land and CMT. Tom Zapalla, Spike’s executive vice president of programming, is also leaving after six years in the position. Spike TV will also transform into Paramount.
