Oddly enough, despite having the GOP in control of the government right now, it's not a very good time to be a conservative—they're losing jobs left and right.

Those within the current administration and those at Fox News have all found a revolving door as of late, and it revolves right toward the unemployment line and spits them out.

The latest casualty is CNN's pro-Trump political commentator Jeffrey Lord. The cable news network let him go on Thursday after a pro-Nazi tweet.

Lord worked with President Ronald Reagan's administration as a political director. Previously he'd worked as a press aide, press secretary, legislative director, and executive assistant, all within the political realm.

He moved on to being a political commentator, and along with CNN has worked for The American Spectator, National Review Online, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Times, and others.

He's been enmeshed in controversy before. He's questioned the validity of a woman's story who claimed her relative had been lynched, criticized Congressman Ron Paul, compared President Barack Obama to communists, demanded the Democratic party apologize for the part they played in slavery, insisted the KKK was left wing and stated Donald Trump is the Martin Luther King of healthcare.

Lord had been critical of Media Matters for America for requesting an advertiser boycott of Sean Hannity's show on Fox News.

On Wednesday, MMFA's president, Angelo Carusone, commented on Twitter that Lord's column was "bullsh-- and filled with lies."

Lord, the next day, referred to the MMFA organization and Carusone as "anti-free speech bigots who, in typical fascist style, make it their mission to shut down speech they don't like."

He also said, "Mr. Carusone is not happy. I am delighted he is not happy. I am even happier that he has put his fascist spirit out there in a re-printable form."

Carusone then tweeted to Lord that the headline of the article was wrong, as he misspelled his name and asked, "Why do you expect anyone to take you seriously when you don't take yourself seriously?"

Lord responded to him with, "Sieg Heil!" known to be a Nazi salute.

This lent to CNN ending Lord's time with the network.

"Nazi salutes are indefensible," said a CNN spokesperson. "Jeffrey Lord is no longer with the network."
