Who else but Stephen Colbert can bring the political world and the superhero world together in a single joke? During one of Colbert's opening monologues on The Late Show last week, the comedian focused on President Donald Trump and the ongoing investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller into Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election. That may include investigating Trump for obstruction of justice in the firing of former FBI director James Comey. Whether Trump is under investigation is unclear--the President himself tweeted that he is, then was contradicted by his own attorney. Mueller has been assembling his team of top tier legal professionals to work on the investigation. According to ComicBook.com, Colbert likened the process to assembling a pretty unique superhero group. Colbert joked, "Mueller’s like Batman putting together The Flash, Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman to put together the Obstruction of Justice League.”
