Director Mamoru Hosoda To Release New Film

Director Mamoru Hosoda has been behind films like The Boy and The Beast, Wolf Children, and The Girl Who Lept Through Time. He will now be releasing a new film in 2018. The film is to be debuted at the Cannes Film Festival and currently has the title of Mirai. Mirai – which means “future” in Japanese - will be a fantasy based family drama centered around a four-year old boy. While the boy struggles to accept his new baby sister, he stumbles into a time-traveling portal in his yard. He travels to when his mother was a young girl, and learns to appreciate his new sister.
