The Royal Family has decided to not pursue a lawsuit against The Sun, the U.K. tabloid that published naked pictures of Prince Harry while he was partying in Las Vegas.

While the family did sue French magazine Closer for publishing topless photos of Kate Middleton—and won—they have concluded that a lawsuit would only distract Harry from his duties.

“We remain of the opinion that a hotel room is a private space where its occupants would have a reasonable expectation of privacy. Prince Harry is currently focused entirely on his deployment in Afghanistan, so to pursue a complaint relating to his private life would not be appropriate at this time and would prove to be a distraction,” the family said in a statement, according to TMZ.

The photos surfaced online in late August after Harry was caught playing “strip billiards” in his hotel room in Vegas with a group of ladies.
