A 24-year-old Chinese pop star is reportedly dating a much, much younger girl—half his age, to be exact.

According to Perez Hilton, Chinese pop star Zhang Muyi is dating 12-year-old Canadian model Akama Miki—and the singer is going public with the relationship, posting photos on Weibo, which is similar to Twitter.

The pair reportedly has not had sexual relations, but the creep-factor is definitely still there, even if they claim they are “madly in love.” The pair, according to Jezebel, is currently making headlines due to a photo posted on Weibo of them on a beach with their fingertips touching in a form of “kiss.”

China’s age of consent laws are similar to ours in America—in the area of China where they are located, the age is 16. But while Zhang has vowed to wait “four more birthdays” before taking the relationship to the next level, we can’t help but wonder why this 12 year age difference seems OK to him in the first place.
