Arrested Development fans will get to see a bit of Lucille Austero when the new season hits Netflix in 2013, as Liza Minnelli has been confirmed to appear in the upcoming season.

According to TV Guide, Minnelli has been in L.A. filming scenes for the upcoming sitcom as Lucille Bluth’s (Jessica Walter) “nemesis” and Buster Bluth’s (Tony Hale) part-time lover.

No stranger to the small screen, Minnelli has kept busy with TV spots on Drop Dead Diva and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Unfortunately, she pulled out of an appearance on Hot in Cleveland (starring Betty White) due to an ankle injury.

Arrested Development returns in 2013 directly to Netflix with 10 to 13 new episodes featuring the full cast, and a movie may also be in the works.
