Johnny Depp has been known to take the stage with rock bands from time to time, and he took time to rock out with Aerosmith at the Hollywood Bowl Monday night.
Depp, a well-known avid guitar player, joined Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and the rest of the gang for “The Train Kept a-Rollin’” to the delight of 18,000 fans.
“We’re going to need a little help out here,” Tyler announced during the show. “Johnny Depp, are you in the house?”
Screams erupted as Depp walked out, wearing his signature dark-colored, wide-brimmed hat, picked up a guitar and began to play with the Aerosmith boys.
This isn’t Depp’s first time playing with Tyler. The two, plus Alice Cooper, played a version of the Beatles’ “Come Together” at an after-party for Depp’s movie Dark Shadows in May.
The actor joined The Black Keys for two songs at the MTV Movie Awards in June and Marilyn Manson at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards in April.
Unless Depp chooses to join another band onstage anytime soon, he will next be seen as Tonto in The Lone Ranger, out July 3, 2013.
