Snoop Dogg Changes Name to Snoop Lion

Following a trip to Jamaica, Snoop Dogg announced that he has changed his name to Snoop Lion and will be releasing a reggae album titled Reincarnated. The rapper-turned-reggae artist will also release a documentary chronicling his name and change and embrace of the Rastafarian movement.

“I’ve been on the top ever since I’ve been in it,” Snoop says in the trailer. “I’ve got rap songs that will never die. That ain’t with no disrespect but I’m tired of rapping.”

“I didn’t just want to come here and say I made a record in Jamaica and grew some dreadlocks. Rastafari called me,” he explained,

Lindsay Lohan Goes Topless on Movie Set

On the set of Lindsay Lohan’s new movie, The Canyons, the actress made an unusual request before going topless for a scene—the film crew all had to drop their pants.

“They were down to their underwear,” a source told ABC News. “It’s a common thing for a crew to do to make actors feel less self-conscious.”

The cast and crew have been very understanding about the sensitivities around filming certain scenes,” her publicist Steve Honig said.

Cuba Gooding, Jr.,  Battery Case Dropped

Charges against actor Cuba Gooding, Jr., were dismissed after a female bartender in New Orleans accused him of shoving her twice. Since her initial accusation, the woman has decided not to pursue the charges. New Orleans police had issued a warrant for the actor’s arrest.

“It is our understanding the employee involved in the alleged altercation has chosen to drop all charges against Mr. Cuba Gooding, Jr.,” the bar said in the statement. “While we continue to investigate this matter internally, we are hopeful that this will put an end to the matter.”

Stevie Wonder Files for Divorce

Music icon Stevie Wonder, 62, has filed for divorce from his wife, Kai Millard Morris, a fashion designer. The two have been married for 11 years.  Wonder cited irreconcilable differences and is seeking joint custody of their two sons, Kailand and Mandla, ages 10 and 7.

“Today Stevland Morris filed for divorce, ending his marriage to Kai Millard Morris,” a statement from his rep said. “As this is a private and personal matter, he asks that the public and the media kindly respect the privacy of Kai, his children, and family at this time.”
