Portugal football superstar Christiano Ronaldo missed his plane out of Donetsk Airport all due to a boarding incident involving sugar.

Ronaldo and his teammates were leaving the Ukraine after a game, and he was fine with sitting in the tail of the plane instead of a more comfortable place up front.

“Sometimes I sit in first, second or third zone, but I agreed to fly in the fifth,” Ronaldo said. “And then I went to get a Cinnabon and the plane took off without me. It’s an injustice! And that Cinnabon gave me indigestion.”

Yes that isn’t fair to be treated like anyone else.

“If he [Ronaldo] wanted to be sure he was on the plane, he should have boarded sooner. Maybe if he did, he would’ve sat next to the emergency exit and Bruno Alves wouldn’t haven’t knocked the door open mid-flight. But then again, maybe not,” said Ted Mendes, the flight’s captain. “I’m not a psychic, I’m just a pilot. And a strip club DJ on the weekends.”

Apparently, the plane was so close to pulling out of the gate that Ronaldo didn’t have time to grab a pastry.

“Seriously, that Cinnabon was a mistake,” he said.

Ronaldo was forced to wait for hours until another flight was available to take him home.
