Prince William and Duchess Catherine are almost one year and two months into their Royal marriage, and Wills is already straying from his well-dressed bride?

Well, only if you count him kissing their Royal pup Lupo during a break at a polo match Sunday.

The Duchess of Cambridge had brought along the black cocker spaniel to many a polo match to play and get some fresh air.

“In true spaniel fashion he was very playful," a source told People.

This is the first time William has shown some PDA with his little boy. He didn’t even bend down to kiss Lupo on the head, but he actually picked up and held the pup in his arms to peck him on the head.

Can you say, “Aww?”

The Royal match took place at Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire. He and Prince Harry battled against each other on horses to raise money for their various charities.

Several members of the royal family also attended the match, including one of Prince William’s first cousins, Zara Phillips and her husband Mike Tindall. One of his other first cousins, Prince Peter Phillips, his wife Autumn and their one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Savannah.

“Kate was really getting into playing with Savannah,” the source also told People. “She seemed to be trying to get Savannah to stroke Lupo.”

Well, Kate may be his wife, but dogs are man’s best friend!
