Idol Info: Yes, American Idol is done until season bajillion later this year, but the news is still rolling in. Sorry girls, the AI winner Phillip Phillips (P-squared) has a girlfriend, wants to take her on tour this summer, almost quit Idol and hopes you didn’t vote for him because he’s cute. Yes, he actually said the “cute” thing. He also has to undergo another surgery for his kidney problems prior to the tour. Former AI contestant Brooke White gave birth to her and husband’s first child—a girl named London. While babies are adorable, this might just be the ugliest engagement ring ever.
Another Music Show: Duets starring Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Jennifer Nettles and Robin Thicke, premiered on ABC Thursday night. What did we learn? It’s boring, and two voices are not better than one.
A Talented Gossip: Leighton Meester can actually sing (no, that’s not sarcasm), but she’s taking her vocals on the road to five cities this summer. She’s also recorded an album, which is why she’s taking it to the streets.
She Must Be a Liar: Ashley Benson, the 22-year-old star of the ABC Family show Pretty Little Liars, wants to star as the virginal college student in the (basically) porn book, 50 Shades of Grey, that’s about to be turned into a movie. Well, so does everyone else in Hollywood. She has a reason, though: she wants to shed that good girl image that comes with starring in a show on a channel that has the word “family” in the name.
Porn News Galore: One of the world’s most famous porn stars, Jenna Jameson, was arrested for a DUI early this morning when she wrapped her car around a pole. She’s been released from the big house.
“Seriously?!” of Friday Morning: Katy Perry thinks her “weirdness” makes her hot. Okay...
