It's the holiday season, and sometimes you never know who your Santa Claus is going to be. There are often individuals popping up out of nowhere to do random acts of kindness at this time of year. Imagine the surprise if you turned around and it was John Stamos.

That's right, the man known to many as Full House’s Uncle Jesse took some time out to play Santa at JCPenney. He surprised the shoppers at the store and paid for everything they were buying on behalf of the chain's #JustGotJingled campaign.

In the campaign, customers are urged to buy another customer a gift at JCPenney's expense. The only caveat is that the recipient of the gift has to be a complete stranger. They are first asked whether it's better to give or receive, and then are invited to pick a stranger who'll get a gift. The items include clothes, jewelry, and toys. Those who participate can then spread their joy with the hashtag #JustGotJingled.

Stamos glued on a fake beard and donned a reindeer cap to help hide his secret. He then slid in behind customers who were standing at the checkout. The cashier would tell the lucky recipients, "Today, Santa Claus is taking care of your purchase, so you don't have to pay for anything. You just got jingled!" They would turn around and see that Santa was actually Stamos in disguise.

The 51-year-old actor could use a little Christmas cheer. He had landed the lead role in a new ABC series, Members Only, only for it to be cancelled by the network before its premiere. Maybe he needs his own Secret Santa.
